Ferme Park Road - Conversion of large terrace into 4 flats

The property was a very large double fronted terrace including a cellar with low head height.  There was already planning in place, but we enhanced this twice - first of all to increase the extent of the basement excavation and rear extensions, and secondly to add roof terraces to the 1st and 2nd floor flats.

The original property had multiple staggered floor levels which would have meant an inefficient use of space if these had been retained, so while the basement was being underpinned and excavated, all the orginal floors, staircases and studwalls were removed and the entire rear walls of the property removed so that finished building would have level floors at basement, ground, first and second floor levels.

Once the basement was underpinned and the lightwells created, the rear walls of the property were able to be entirely rebuilt on the new extended footprint.

The slideshow below shows the finished property.  Below that are two further slideshows showing the property before work started and then some pictures of the work in progress.
